2012 Call for Presenters

Houston Group Psychotherapy Society (HGPS) is now requesting applications for Faculty presentations for our annual 2012 Institute to be held at the Houston Council on Alcohol and Drugs at 303 Jackson Hill.

The dates will be Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21, 2012. 

Faculty positions are open to both HGPS members and non-members.   The featured speakers this year are Sue Barnum, LPCC, TEP, CGP and Evie Lotze, Ph.D, TEP of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy (retired).  They will be speaking on Creative Group Therapy: Story, Metaphor and Action.   

Special Interest faculty presenters are needed.  Topics can be related to but are not limited to psychodrama and other expressive therapies in-action including dance, music, art, and other experiential group therapies.     

Faculty presentations can be either one 1 ½ hour presentation or two 1 ½ (3 total) hour presentations. The deadline is November 1, 2011.  You will be notified in early December after the applications are reviewed.
